Terms of service

These terms apply when you use Paper & Sun and its services StoryStar (storystar.paperandsun.com), Timeless (timeless.paperandsun.com) and RoomGlow (roomglow.paperandsun.com), together “the Service”. By using the Service or buying from us you agree to them. Questions: hello@paperandsun.com.
1. What we provide
Paper & Sun creates personalised digital products from the photos and details you give us: illustrated storybooks (StoryStar), restored and colorized photos (Timeless) and room redesign visualizations (RoomGlow). The images and text are produced with automated image- and text-generation technology. You see a free, watermarked preview before you pay.
2. Ordering and payment
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Prices are shown in US dollars before checkout; taxes are calculated and collected by Paddle where applicable. All purchases are one-time payments, there are no subscriptions. Upgrades charge only the difference to the plan you already have.
3. Delivery
Products are digital and delivered instantly in your browser after payment, through the link to your order. Paid orders stay available for 30 days; please download your files within that time. We do not ship physical goods.
4. Your photos and content
- You keep all rights to the photos and information you upload.
- You confirm you have the right to use them, and the consent of the people shown (for a child, you are their parent or legal guardian or have the guardian's permission).
- You give us a limited permission to process them only to create and deliver your order. We do not use them to train models and do not sell them. See our privacy policy.
- Do not upload content that is illegal, sexual, violent, hateful, or that infringes someone else's rights. We may refuse or delete such content.
5. What you may do with the results
Once paid, you may keep, use and share the digital images and books you received for personal, non-commercial purposes, for example as gifts. Reselling them or using them in commercial products requires our written permission.
6. Quality and limitations
Generated images can differ from the original photo and may contain imperfections. A restored or colorized photo is an artistic interpretation, not a historical record, and room redesigns are visual ideas, not architectural or construction advice; product suggestions and prices are estimates. If you are not happy with a result, use the included redos or ask for a refund under our refund policy.
7. Acceptable use
Do not misuse the Service: no attempts to break or overload it, to access other people's orders, or to use it to create misleading images of real people. We may suspend access for misuse.
8. Liability
The Service is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the order concerned, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer under the law of your country.
9. Changes
We may update these terms; the date above shows the latest version. Changes do not affect orders already placed.
